Michelle and Julian De Las Nieves are professional salsa dancers, choreographers, and directors based in Boston. Michelle, born and raised in Michigan, and Julian, a Massachusetts native, bring their own backgrounds, styles, and energy into one partnership — known for smooth connection, chemistry, and an engaging way of teaching. They specialize in New York-style salsa on2.
In 2021 they founded Querencia Dance Company, now more than 95 dancers across six teams, and an integral part of Boston's salsa community — a space built around artistry, growth, and connection. Their mission runs past the dance floor: elevate Latin dance, raise its visibility on global stages, and bring the art form into more mainstream spaces.
